KEY POINTS:
Waikato golfer Emily Perry held on strongly in the final round to win the New Zealand under-19 women's golf championship at Waikanae.
Perry fired a final round one-under 72 to claim the 54-hole strokeplay title in difficult conditions at Waikanae Golf Club.
While the men's under 19 championship was abandoned at nearby Wainuiomata Golf Club because of the weather, Perry finished four shots ahead of fellow national squad player Zoe-Beth Brake of Whakatane who shared second place with Lucy Davis of Wellington.
