KEY POINTS:
Another solid round overnight (NZT) from New Zealand golfer Gareth Paddison kept him in contention at the halfway mark of the BMW International Open in Germany.
Paddison hit his second two-under par 70 thanks to an impressive 33 on the final nine, including four birdies, to leave him tied on 27th going into the final two rounds.
Fellow countryman Mark Brown shot 71, which followed on from his earlier 72 and also left him within the cut, but without a shot to spare.
Meanwhile, Michael Campbell was once again packing and heading home early with a 74 adding to his 72 in the opening round, leaving him three shots adrift of the cut.
While Campbell's two rounds were more consistent than some of his tournaments so far this year, his score card was once again littered with too many bogeys.
Germany's Martin Kaymer thrilled the home gallery by storming to a nine-under-par 63 to take firm control of the tournament.
Kaymer was only a stroke off the Munich Eichenried course record and sits on 131, five strokes ahead of Francois Delamontagne of France (66) and Britain's Benn Barham (68).
