New Zealand rookie professional golfer Danny Lee has one more event remaining in the United States in which to secure automatic PGA Tour membership for next season.
The 19-year-old will need to finish top-two in next fortnight's Wyndham Championship in North Carolina to secure a PGA Tour place.
He has now contested 10 events as a professional on the US Tour since joining the play-for-pay ranks straight after April's US Masters.
In Ohio today, Lee ended the WGC Bridgestone Invitational, an event he qualified for by winning the Johnnie Walker Classic in February, with a closing round 70 for a share of 51st place on six over par.
The round included three birdies, including a four-metre effort on the last, and just as many bogeys.
"It was nice to birdie the last and overall there was a lot of birdies on my card over the four days but I also made some stupid mistakes over the week," Lee said.
"It was good experience playing in my first World Golf Championship event but I now have a lot of work do to if I am going to earn my PGA Tour card.
"I am having a week off before the Wyndham Championship as the event is going to be a very important week for me."
Lee said if he did not attain his card next fortnight in North Carolina, he would return to the European Tour for the remainder of the season and take advantage of the two-year exemption he earned in winning earlier this year in Perth.
Lee played the final Firestone round in the company of former US Open champion, Jim Furyk and was full of praise for the American.
"It was really awesome to play alongside Jim as he is one of the great players in the world," he said.
"It was probably one of the best experiences I have had this year playing with him today."
Lee's round left 18 him shots adrift off world No 1 Tiger Woods, who carded a five-under-par 65 to clinch his 70th PGA Tour victory by four strokes.
