New Zealand's David Smail and Danny Lee did not trouble the leaders at the World Cup of Golf in China yesterday.
They closed with a one-under-par 71 to tie for 20th alongside France in the 28-nation two-man teams event at Mission Hills in Shenzhen.
Smail and Lee signed for a tournament card of 12-under 276, picking up nine shots on the opening two days before fading at the weekend.
They began Saturday's third round in a share of seventh place but faded from contention with a 70 while many of their rivals went deep into red figures.
The US$5.5 million ($7.83 million) tournament was won by Italians Edoardo and Francesco Molinari, who shot 68 today to finish on 259, one ahead of Ireland and Sweden.
