New Zealand maintained their grip on the Queen Sirikit Cup women's golf tournament, holding a five-shot lead after the second round at Royal Adelaide Golf Club yesterday.
The New Zealanders, Natasha Krishna, Sharon Ahn and Sarah Nicholson, were 10-over after two rounds, five clear of nearest challengers Chinese Taipei with the final round to be played today.
Krishna and Ahn are also the two leading individuals. Chinese Taipei narrowed the gap to two shots at one stage but lost their momentum on the final four holes to finish on 15-over in cool, trying conditions.
