An improved fourth and final round has seen New Zealand finish 19th equal in golf's Eisenhower Trophy in Stellenbosch, South Africa.
The team was three under on the last day to be four under for the tournament, 17 shots behind winner the Netherlands.
Mark Purser saved his best for last and had New Zealand's round of the day, with his two under par round moving him up to 61st equal on four over in the individual tournament.
Overall, the best of the New Zealanders in the individual competition was Josh Geary, who carded a final round of one over par to finish in a tie for 34th on one under.
James Gill's final round of one under par left him in 54th equal on two over.
Geary says things have not gone to plan but they are not too upset.
