New Zealand has surged to the top of the leaderboard after the second round of the Eisenhower Trophy, world amateur team's golf championships in Ireland.
Daniel Hillier has fired a seven under 65 and Denzel Ieremia a six under 66 to put New Zealand one stroke ahead of Thailand, Ireland and Denmark.
Hillier is tied for fourth in the individual standings at 11 under while Ieremia is eighth on nine under par.
New Zealand won the prestigious tournament in 1992.
The women's Espirito Santo team has finished their four rounds in 19th place, 31 strokes behind the United States.
