New Zealand golfers are struggling to mix it with strong international fields at the Australian amateur championships in Adelaide.
Nick Gillespie is the best of the New Zealand men in a share of 13th place after two rounds of the men's strokeplay event at Royal Adelaide Golf Club.
The Australian trio of Michael Foster, Mathew Griffin and Josh Younger have the lead on three-under-par 141.
Gillespie fired a one-under 71 yesterday to move to one-over 145 after two rounds.
Seven New Zealanders men made the second round cut with the trio of Danny Lee, Kevin Smith and Peter Spearman-Burn one shot behind Gillespie.
Lee also shot a second round of 71 with Smith had a 72 and Spearman-Burn a 74.
Leighton Smith, Ben Wallace and Jared Pender also made the cut.
The New Zealand women are also well off the pace after three rounds of their strokeplay event at the Glenelg Golf Club.
Zoe-Beth Brake, Dana Kim and Penny Smith are in 35th place on 11-over 233 after 54 holes, 25 shots behind runaway leader Stephanie Na, who has a nine-shot lead over fellow Australian Rebecca Flood.
