Rotorua golfer Jae An has finished in a tie for second place at the Australian junior championships in Canberra yesterday.
An finished with a total of 289, one-over par, with Singapore's Choo Tse Huang, seven shots behind winner Jason Day (Queensland) at the Yowani Country Club course.
An was the best of the New Zealanders, finishing with a superb three-under 69 to climb to second.
Wellington's Perry Hayman was the next best Kiwi in a share of 12th place on 296, eight over, while Auckland's Kevin Sohn and Wellington's Aaron Leech were a further three shots back in a share of 16th.
