The second edition of golf's Inter-Island Trophy event is set for Kinloch near Taupo next week.
The Ryder Cup-style event was held for the first time last year when the North Island won a tight contest 9-8 at Clearwater in Christchurch.
The North Island team again look strong, with Grant Moorhead, who leads the domestic order of merit, Josh Geary and Doug Holloway heading their challenge.
The South Island boast players such as Tony Christie, Ben Gallie, Riki Borell, Tom Long and Andrew Searle.
The two-day event starts on Monday with the foursomes before the singles on Tuesday.
Each team consist of 12 players, made up of two seniors, two club professionals, six tour members and two captain's picks.
