North Harbour professional Michael Hendry has fallen well off the pace at the Australian Masters.
The New Zealand PGA Champion, who had fired rounds of 67 and 69 to be in second place, carded a seven over par 79 at the Kingston Heath Golf Club in round three to drop 11 places into tied 13th.
The 33-year-old, who is currently leading the PGA Tour of Australasia, is now 12 shots back from England's Ian Poulter who fired a 64 in round three to claim a one shot lead from Adam Scott.
The news was much better for Mark Brown. The Wellington professional carded a five under par 67 - that included six birdies in a seven hole stretch - to jump into fourth place.
Brown, who will play the BMW NZ Open next week for the first time in four years, is second on the PGA Tour of Australasia Order of Merit to Hendry.
