The Waikato golfer is four shots behind leader Italian Alberto Campanile, who shot a 68. New Zealand are in a tie for sixth in the teams' event, eight shots behind leader Great Britain.
The New Zealand women are well off the pace with Nicole Smith the best on a 78, nine shots behind the leader.
