New Zealand golfer Josh Geary has climbed 273 world ranking slots in two weeks, on the back of consecutive top 10 finishes on the Nationwide Tour.
The 24-year-old from Tauranga is now No 355 after finishing tied for fourth at the New Zealand Open in Queenstown on Sunday.
After his second equal placing in the New Zealand PGA Championship in Christchurch a week ago, Geary had lifted his world ranking from No 628 to No 416.
Queenstown lifted him a further 61 places, when he signed for a final round one-under 71 to end up seven strokes back of the winner, American Alex Prugh.
Steven Alker, who won the PGA Champiopnship, climbed another 20 placings to No 353 in Queenstown, where he finished tied for 13th.
David Smail was the best-ranked New Zealander at 90, followed by Mark Brown (130), Danny Lee (144), Michael Campbell (210), and Tim Wilkinson (296).
