New Zealand golf international Larissa Eruera finished fifth in the women's world junior invitational at San Diego.
Eruera, 16, from Auckland's Aviation Club, finished 10 shots behind winner Patcharajutur Kongkraphantha of Thailand at the annual age-group international event.
Eruera, the 2007 national amateur champion, fired a two-over 294 in the 15-17 years age group.
Cantabrians Todd Baek and Patrick Chae missed the cut in the boys' 15-17 years division while fellow Christchurch golfer Young Namkoong was tied for seventh in the 13-14 years division among the leading New Zealanders.
