Life is not getting any slower for New Zealand golfer Michael Campbell as the festive season kicks in.
Campbell finished third at the Grand Slam of Golf in Hawaii yesterday afternoon on one under, twelve shots behind Tiger Woods.
The world number one has won the tournament for the sixth time, blitzing his three opponents, finishing at 13 under par over the two rounds.
Phil Mickelson finished on six under, while Vijay Singh managed even par in last place.
Campbell says he is disappointed with the way he has played in Hawaii, and although he may not have been up to Tiger's level, it is a great experience.
Overall, it is not an event he has taken too seriously, but it is a privilege to be involved in such a great foursome and a tremendous spectacle.
Campbell is about to continue his jet-setting around the world.
The US Open champion says it has been a long season and he is still busy, having played in China, Japan and Hawaii in the last three weeks.
He is off to the Australian PGA next, and then to LA for Tiger Woods' tournament next month before finally returning home.
Campbell says he will be back in New Zealand for the Maori Sports Awards on December 17.
