Australians have bestowed a new honour upon Michael Campbell.
Campbell has had his likeness carved out of sand on a Western Australia beach, with the sculpture being unveiled later today.
Michael Campbell, Adam Scott, Retief Goosen and Colin Montgomerie have had their faces carved into the beach, in Mount Rushmore fashion.
A local Perth sand sculptor has spent five days creating the two metre design.
All four golfers are competing in the Johnnie Walker Classic, starting at The Vines Resort in Perth on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Wellington golfer Sarah Nicholson has made an impressive start to the Australian Strokeplay Championships in Sydney.
Nicholson's shot a three-under-par 71 at The Lakes, currently second, three shots off the leader Clare Choi from Victoria.
The New Zealand team is in second, one shot off Canada.
