Michael Campbell finished six strokes off the pace in a tie for 12th with a final round one over par 73 at the Irish Golf Open this morning.
Denmark's Thomas Bjorn birdied the last two holes to win the weather-affected event, which went into a fifth day.
Bjorn has equalled the European Tour's record best recovery when he came back from a first round 78 to close with a level-par 72 on the tournament's fifth day.
He finished at five-under-par, a stroke better than Britain's Paul Casey.
Campbell is pleased with his form, leading into the defence of his US Open title next month.
He was a top five finisher last week and 12th this week so he says he is "getting there".
Campbell says he is relieved to get finished, but is trying to put a brave face on having to come back for a fifth day.
He says he had a corporate day yesterday but was still willing to come back today.
Campbell now heads to the BMW PGA event at Wentworth later this week.
