The British Open preparations of Michael Campbell and Mark Brown continued in disarray after they missed the halfway cut in the Scottish Open at Loch Lomond.
Campbell slumped from an encouraging two-under par after the opening round to miss the halfway cut in the £3 million ($7.8 million) event by two strokes following a second round four-over par 75.
The former US Open champion dropped two strokes over his outward half before the disappointment of a double-bogey and a bogey on the 11th and 12th holes respectively.
Campbell's only delight was a birdie on the last.
It is the 11th European Tour event in a row that Campbell has missed out on playing all four rounds.
Campbell will remain at Loch Lomond today to practise before venturing to Turnberry tomorrow.
Brown will no doubt join Campbell on the Loch Lomond driving range after he slumped to a seven-over par 79.
It is the third event in a row Brown will not play four rounds and the ninth occasion in 19 events on the 2009 Race to Dubai schedule the Auckland player will sit out the weekend rounds.
