KEY POINTS:
New Zealand golfer Mark Brown secured the first win of his professional career at the Sail Open in India yesterday.
Brown extended his one-shot overnight advantage in New Delhi to win the US$400,000 ($506,072) Asian Tour event by four strokes.
He carded a final round of three-under-par 69 for a tournament card of 14-under 274, four ahead of a quartet containing Australian Scott Hend, American Danny Chia, India's Jyoti Randhawa and Korea's Noh Seung-yul.
Another New Zealander, Richard Lee, finished in a share of 17th place on 284 after shooting 74 today.
Brown carried good form into the tournament, having finished in a tie for fifth in last week's Indonesian Open.
The 33-year-old turned professional in 1996 but turned his back on the pro circuit in 2003 due to a lack of success.
He re-emerged in late 2006 and made a much better fist of things in his second coming in the pro ranks, ending his maiden season on the Asian Tour in 2007 placed 15th on the moneylist with earnings of US$191,356.
