Bay of Plenty golfers Brad Iles and Josh Geary qualified yesterday for matchplay to decide the Canadian Amateur Champion.
The Tauranga-based pair finished strongly after 36-holes strokeplay qualifying to join the top 32 players to contest the matchplay section at Baddeck Gold Club in Nova Scotia.
Iles shot a five-under 139 to finish in a share of fourth place in strokeplay, qualifying with Geary three shots back in a share of 12th place.
