Americans dominate the top placings in professional golf's year-end rankings.
Tiger Woods, who also headed the money list, tops the 2001 official world golf rankings, as released by the PGA tour.
Woods had five tournament wins this year.
He'll be here in New Zealand to kick off his 2002 year with the NZ Open next month.
Leftie Phil Mickelson (two victories and four 2nd-place finishes) is in second position, and David Duval, who broke his Majors drought this year by winning the British Open, is third.
Golfers from the rest of the world then get a look in, occupying nine of the eleven places from number 4 through 14.
