KEY POINTS:
Australian golfer Stefan Albinski streeted the field to win the New Zealand seniors amateur championship at Te Puke yesterday. He finished with a 54-hole total of 10-under 206 to win the title by 13 shots. He set up his victory with a nine-under 63 on Friday and took a 10-shot lead in yesterday's final round. Albinski protected his lead with a steady round of 72.
Second was American Norman Swenson, who also managed 72 yesterday to sneak ahead of former champion Martin Webber, of Royal Wellington, who was third on 220.
Aucklanders Philip Cleland and television newsreader Peter Williams finished in a share of fourth place on 221, one shot ahead of another Aucklander, David Headland.
