IWATA, Japan (AP) Defender Yuji Nakazawa scored the only goal as Yokohama F Marinos beat relegated Jubilo Iwata 1-0 to widen its lead in the J-League on Saturday.
Nakazawa gave Yokohama the lead with a left-foot shot from inside the box in the 68th minute as Marinos improved to 62 points, four ahead of second place Urawa Reds with two matches remaining.
Urawa fell further off the pace after being beaten 3-1 by Kawasaki Frontale. An own goal as well as strikes from Brazilian Jeci and Yoshito Okubo sealed Urawa's fate.
Defending champion Sanfrecce Hiroshima is in third place on 57 points after a 1-0 loss to Cerezo Osaka which moved into fourth place with 56 points.
In other matches, Sagan Tosu beat Kashima Antlers 2-1 while Shimizu S-Pulse beat Omiya Ardija 1-0.
