AMSTERDAM (AP) Vitesse Arnhem beat PSV 6-2 to stay atop the Eredivisie and pile more pressure on Eindhoven coach Phillip Cocu on Saturday.
Lucas Piazon opened the scoring in Eindhoven before Memphis Depay pulled PSV level at the end of the first half. Goals by Mike Havenaar and Kelvin Leerdam looked to have sealed the three points for Vitesse but Karim Rekik narrowed the margin to one goal in the 84th. PSV's hope was shortlived as it conceded three goals in the closing minutes to extend a winless streak in the league that dates to Oct. 6.
PSV's sixth league defeat of the season left the club 10th, but Cocu vowed not to quit.
"However tough it is, I am a club man. I love the club and I am here for the players," Cocu said. "I'm not the type to throw in the towel."
Second-placed Ajax warmed up for its crucial midweek Champions League clash with AC Milan by thrashing NAC Breda 4-0 thanks to a hat trick by midfielder Davy Klaassen.
