LONDON - Northwich Victoria beat fellow minor league side Woking 2-1 in an FA Cup second round replay today to earn a lucrative match against Sunderland.
The third round game will be played at Sunderland, bottom of the Premier League, on January 9.
Another minor league side, Burton Albion of the Conference, host Manchester United in the tie of the round on the same day.
Northwich Victoria and Woking drew 0-0 in their first meeting but Northwich midfielder Stuart Elliot broke the deadlock with a 13th-minute volley, only for Steve Ferguson to equalise at the end of the first half.
Striker Paul Brayson, who had a penalty saved when his side were leading 1-0, fired in the winner after an hour, his 10th goal in the competition this season.
Northwich, from the town of Cheshire 25km south of Manchester, were founded in 1874 but went into administration last season.
They were relegated to the Conference North, two rungs below the Football League. Woking are mid-table in the Conference, one rung higher.
Minor league Stevenage lost 0-2 at Northampton in their replay today to miss out on a trip to second division Crystal Palace.
Scott McGleish got both goals inside two minutes at the end of the first half.
In other replays after extra time, Brentford beat Oldham 1-0, Cheltenham won 2-1 at Oxford and Port Vale won 1-0 at Bristol Rovers.
Barnsley also beat Bradford 5-3 after extra time.
