KEY POINTS:
The Premiership signs off for another season tonight. Although Manchester United have sewn up the title, there are still a number of games with plenty riding on them.
Sheffield United vs Wigan
Premiership survival is estimated to be worth £30 million-£50 million, so there's plenty of pressure in this game. Wigan have fallen from the dizzy heights of 2005-06 and sit in the relegation zone. To avoid the drop, they must win to leapfrog Sheffield United, who would then have an inferior goal difference. The Blades might still survive even if they lose but they would need Manchester United to dispose of West Ham or, failing that, a successful legal bid against the supposed leniency shown towards the Hammers over the signings of Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano.
Blackburn vs Reading
Steve Coppell's Reading have done a fantastic job this season, much like Wigan last season, and currently sit one place off a Uefa Cup spot. They need to beat Blackburn at Ewood Park and then hope that either Spurs (home to Manchester City) or Bolton (home to Aston Villa) lose. They will be kicking themselves for going down to Watford last weekend and will run into a resurgent Blackburn side led by All White Ryan Nelsen.
Southampton vs Derby,
Wolves vs West Brom
It is a huge week for four sides battling for one last Premiership promotion spot. Traditionalists don't fancy playoffs to decide promotion but they can rarely be beaten for drama. Southampton and Derby kicked off proceedings overnight before they meet in the return leg on Wednesday morning (NZT), while Wolves and West Brom battle it out in the first leg of their local derby tonight. The Championship playoff final will return to the new Wembley Stadium next Tuesday morning to decide who will join Sunderland and Birmingham City in the top flight.
