SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — Fabio Cannavaro earned his first victory in his second spell as coach of Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande on Tuesday.
The 2006 World Cup-winning captain for Italy, who also coached the Chinese team in 2015, watched as his players overturned a 2-0 deficit to beat South Korea club Jeju United 5-3 in Group G of the Asian Champions League.
Former Brazil international Ricardo Goulart scored four of Guangzhou's goals, all in the second half.
Jin Sung-wook and Magno Cruz each scored in the first half to give the South Korean team the lead by the 30th minute. Alan Carvalho then pulled one back for Guangzhou, a two-time winner of the continental competition and a seven-time Chinese league champion.
Guangzhou leads Group G with five points. Thai club Buriram United is second with four points after beating Japanese team Cerezo Osaka 2-0.
