The woman known for her infamous toilet cubicle encounter with Sonny Bill Williams has spoken out about how the fallout from the photo nearly drove her to suicide.
After a four-year silence, Australian ironwoman Candice Falzon has talked for the first time about the scrutiny she endured following the incident and how the support of her family has helped her return to the sport she loves.
In 2007 Falzon and the All Black, then a 21-year-old league star, were sprung in a drunken encounter in a toilet at Sydney's Clovelly Hotel.
A cellphone photo of the pair in a compromising position, taken by a witness reaching under the cubicle, was posted online and made headlines around the world.
At the time Williams reportedly said he had no memory of the incident and was "ashamed and embarrassed'' about what happened.
