ROME (AP) Facing a possible life ban, Danilo Di Luca says his latest breach of cycling's anti-doping rules "doesn't change much" for his fans.
After a hearing with the Italian Olympic Committee's anti-doping prosecutor on Wednesday, the 2007 Giro d'Italia winner was asked if he had a message for his fans.
Di Luca responded, "Whoever supported me before still does, while those who didn't won't now, either. It doesn't change much."
The 37-year-old Di Luca tested positive for EPO in a surprise test in April, five days before this year's Giro.
Di Luca didn't reveal much about the hearing other than to say that the prosecutor asked him to collaborate with the inquiry.
