India brushed aside the challenge of Namibia and immediately turned their attention to their next pool A match against England.
Sachin Tendulkar top-scored with 152 and captain Sourav Ganguly rediscovered his form with an unbeaten 112 as India reached 311 for two and rolled Namibia for 130, winning by 181 runs at Pietermaritzburg yesterday.
Ganguly thinks good batting will be vital if India are to beat England in their day-night match in Durban on Thursday morning.
"The key to the game will be putting runs on the board," he says. "Our improving form is certainly going to help us there."
Second thoughts
Shane Warne said last night he was reconsidering his planned appeal against the 12-month doping ban which has rocked world cricket.
"The appeal situation is something that I have to think about," Warne wrote in Melbourne newspaper the Herald Sun.
"Do I want to go through all this again and put my mum, wife, kids and the rest of the family through another couple of weeks of heartache, anticipation and anxiety?
I have a lot of angry and disappointing thoughts at the moment but I do have to start thinking clearly."
The 33-year-old Warne was banned for 12 months after testing positive to using banned diuretics by the Australian Cricket Board.
