BENONI, South Africa - New Zealand's preparations for their last World Cup Group B match against Canada have suffered a double setback with injuries to batsman Lou Vincent and fast bowler Kyle Mills.
Vincent dislocated his right thumb and Mills pulled a hamstring, both injuries sustained during fielding practice on Friday.
Vincent was taken to a hand specialist who said the player would likely be out of action for between five and 10 days.
Mills's injury will be assessed again on Saturday.
New Zealand need to beat Canada on Monday to maintain their hopes of reaching the Super Sixes.
