KIMBERLEY, South Africa - Namibia's Louis Burger took a stunning catch to remove Saeed Anwar and dismissed Younis Khan as Pakistan struggled to 174-4 after 40 overs of their World Cup Group A match today.
Burger dived to his left at extra cover to pluck a powerful drive from Anwar out of the air off the bowling of Bjorn Kotze and send the fit-again opening batsman back to the pavilion for 23.
Burger then had Khan caught by wicketkeeper Melt van Scoor for 28 before Deon Kotze bowled an increasingly frustrated Inzamam-ul-Haq for four.
Jan-Berry Burger then got in on the act, opener Saleem Elahi caught by a diving Deon Kotze for 63. Yousuf Youhana was unbeaten on 24, with Rashid Latif on 16.
Pakistan captain Waqar Younis won the toss for the 1999 World Cup runners-up, who recalled Anwar for Taufeeq Umar and brought in off spinner Saqlain Mushtaq for Shahid Afridi following their opening defeat by Australia.
