CAPE TOWN - Young seam bowler James Anderson took four prize wickets to help England crush Pakistan by 112 runs in their World Cup Group A match on Saturday (South African Time)

Anderson removed Inzamam-ul-Haq and and Yousuf Youhana with successive deliveries before dismissing Saeed Anwar and Rashid Latif on the way to figures of four for 29 from 10 overs in a single spell.
Craig White then got in on the act, bowling Abdul Razzaq, forcing Wasim Akram to sky a catch to Ashley Giles and getting Waqar Younis caught in the gully.
Earlier, Paul Collingwood made a gritty unbeaten 66 to lift England to a total of 246-8 after they had slumped to 59-3.
Alec Stewart (30) and Michael Vaughan (52) led the initial recovery but the pair fell in quick succession to leave England in deep trouble again at 118-5.
* Nasser Hussain tried to cut a ball from Waqar Younis and edged a catch to Latif diving to his right. 59-3.
* Vaughan cut Shoaib Akhtar powerfully to backward point where Younis Khan took a good low catch to his right. 110-4.
* Andrew Flintoff, after a disciplined inings of 26, was deceived by Saqlain's straight ball and stumped by Latif. 160-6.
* Collingwood reached his fifty, including three fours from 59 balls.
* Shahid Afridi smashed Andy Caddick over long-on for six, but edged a catch to Stewart next ball. 13-1.
* Inzamam, badly out for form, edged his first ball from Anderson to Nick Knight at gully. 17-2.
* Anderson produced a devastating yorker to bowl Youhana first ball. 17-3.
* A frustrated Younis Khan tried to pull Flintoff but skied the ball to Stewart who took a good running catch. 52-4.
* Anwar was trapped lbw by Anderson who then forced Latif to edge a catch to Stewart. 59-6.
* Anderson completed figures of four for 29 from 10 consecutive overs.
* White produced a perfect outswinger to clip Razzaq's stumps.
* Wasim skied a catch to Giles at backward square leg. 78-8.
* White made a ball jump at Waqar who fended it straight to Knight.
* Shoaib took 21 runs off a White over as he and Saqlain shared a valliant 54-run 10th-wicket partnership before Flintoff bowled Shoaib for 43 to end the match.
