Political heavyweight Sharad Pawar wrested control of India's cricket board yesterday, ending Jagmohan Dalmiya's more than 25-year stranglehold on the country's richest sporting body.
Pawar's first action was to sack all three selectors who supported the return of deposed captain Sourav Ganguly.
Ganguly was included in the 15-man Indian squad for the first test against Sri Lanka, starting in Chennai on Saturday.
