The West Indies have won the toss and elected to bat first on the opening day of the second and final cricket test against New Zealand at McLean Park in Napier today.
New Zealand have omitted seam bowler Mark Gillespie from their starting 11 in what is the only change from the side who drew the first test in Dunedin last week.
Jeetan Patel comes into the side to give New Zealand two spin bowling options alongside captain Daniel Vettori.
The West Indies have also made one change, bringing in 2.03m left-arm spinner Sulieman Benn for his third test at the expense of fast bowler Lionel Barker, who went wicketless on his test debut in Dunedin.
