The New Zealand men's bobsled team produced a top-10 performance in the latest leg of the Europe Cup in Austria yesterday, strengthening their claim for a spot at next year's Winter Olympics.
The quartet of Alan Henderson, Mark Edmond, Angus Ross and Steve Harrison clocked 1m 46.74s, 1.53s behind winners Germany. The team have 37 Europe Cup points, clear of the 30 needed for Olympic selection. The New Zealand Olympic team will be named on December 16.
