Canterbury guard David Langrell had a quiet night oncourt but had plenty to celebrate afterwards as his Neptune club captured the Irish Superleague basketball title this morning (NZ time).
Neptune took the crown with a game in hand after nearest rivals Star of the Sea dropped their final game 98-101 against Hibernian UCD the previous night to fall out of contention.
Langrell played just 28 minutes for nine points , four assists and a rebound as Neptune defeated Irish Travel Partners Saints 122-106 to seal the title.
