The region's best seafood delicacies and local talent will be on show next month as the Rotorua Summer Seafood Festival returns for a second year.
The festival, presented by Te Arawa Fisheries, will be held during Auckland Anniversary Weekend on Sunday, January 29 at the Lakefront.
More than 1000 tickets were sold for the inaugural event in January. Event manager Tia Smith said she was expecting at least double that at the upcoming event.
"I have no doubt it will sell out."
Ms Smith said specialists from throughout the Bay of Plenty would be offering seafood delights for sale from an array of food stalls.
Ms Smith said people should come along as great food and entertainment, matched with wines and beers during a long weekend, made for a great weekend out.
Te Arawa Fresh seafood manager Mericia Waqanimaravu said it was a great event that celebrated seafood and brought people together.
"It's a great time to celebrate seafood and highlight what is out there, with not just Te Arawa Fisheries but other seafood stalls too."
Tickets are on sale now and a limited number of Christmas special first release tickets are available for $25.
These tickets includes festival admission, all-day stage entertainment and access to all stalls and bar (R18+).
Limited VIP tickets will be available for $135, which includes festival admission, all-day stage entertainment, a special gift pack, exclusive access to the VIP marquee including covered shelter, VIP seating, all-day hors d'oeuvres, five free beverage tickets, table service and exclusive bar and toilet facilities.
