Ngongotaha are back to winning ways after dispatching Taupo 3-0 at Crown Park.
Van Ewert netted twice while teammate Jordyn McKay also scored for Ngongotaha on Saturday in Taupo.
Ngongotaha registered their first win in months the previous week, beating Tauranga Old Blues 4-1, and have now recorded back-to-back wins.
It means Ngongotaha remain in fourth place on the Waibop Federation One ladder while Taupo stay put in seventh.
Meanwhile, Melville were handed relegation on Saturday when Matamata only lost by two goals to Cambridge 5-3.
