Methamphetamine, synthetic cannabis and an air rifle have been found by police in a house where a young child lives.
Police executed a search warrant at an undisclosed Eastern Bay of Plenty address today where 3 point bags of methamphetamine, 90 multi-coloured bags of synthetic cannabis, cash and a glass meth pipe were found clearly visible inside the house, Eastern Bay Detective Darren Thomas said.
"Once again this demonstrates the total disregard that drug dealers have for the safety and wellbeing of children in their care."
Mr Thomas said police encouraged members of the community to report situations like this where children were at risk so they could keep children safe.
"People can report this kind of behaviour anonymously by contacting 0800 Crimestoppers and they can be rest assured that information will be treated in total confidence."
