Wairarapa-Bush will make it into the Meads Cup playoffs of the Heartland rugby championship if those who set the odds at the TAB are good judges.
Despite their 26-19 loss to Wanganui last weekend - their first Heartland defeat in four games - Wairarapa-Bush are second-equal favourites for the Meads Cup. They are now paying $4 after being out to as high as $20.
Defending champions Wanganui at $2.50 head the market, followed by South Canterbury and Wairarapa-Bush $4, East Coast $7, North Otago $12, Poverty Bay and Buller $15, West Coast $40, Mid-Canterbury, Thames Valley, King Country and West Coast $50 and Horowhenua-Kapiti $100.
As to the Wairarapa-Bush v Mid-Canterbury clash at Memorial Park tomorrow, Wairarapa-Bush are hot favourites to win. They are paying $1.35 and Mid-Canterbury $2.90.
