Two Christchurch men have been arrested after a joyride in a stolen car.
Canterbury Police arrested the two men aged 28 and 22 after a short pursuit of a stolen red Subaru Impreza station wagon in Cashmere, Christchurch at about 11:30am today.
Police stopped the car by using road spikes at the intersection of Colombo St and Tennyson St, Detective Sergeant Nicola Reeves said.
"The driver and passenger were arrested after a short foot-chase."
A number of items were also seized from the car which included an imitation firearm, she said.
