Two Auckland taxi drivers charged with fraudulently buying hundreds of Rugby World Cup tickets worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, have appeared in court.
Nebiyou Demisse, 37, has been granted bail by the High Court in Auckland but is only allowed out after the Rugby World Cup has finished.
He appeared by an audio-visual link from the Auckland Central Remand Prison today.
Judge Wade said once Demisse is out on bail, "the tickets will be useless''.
His co-accused Demissie Asgedom, 25, also made a brief appearance.
