Police are concerned at the antics of four teenagers who were seen planking on Wellington's Terrace Tunnel.
The stunt could encourage others to perform more dangerous activities that could result in a fatality, Inspector Marty Parker of central police communications said.
The young teens were spotted by police just after 2.30pm lying down, or planking, on top of the south entrance to the tunnel and taking photos of each other.
The boys were on a concrete shelf looking down over the edge of the tunnel onto cars below, Mr Parker said. They left before a patrol car reached them.
