Armed police have raided a Wellington home suspected of being a clandestine drug laboratory and arrested two men.
Police entered the Shelly Bay Road house at about 7am, Detective Sergeant Paul Hampton said.
The road was temporarily closed. Police remain at the scene this afternoon.
Mr Hampton told NZPA there were indications the house hosted a drug lab, but police were still investigating.
"We are still processing the scene at the moment. We are not aware of all the items located and the nature of them," he said.
Two men have been arrested and charged for manufacturing methamphetamine.
They will appear in court this afternoon.
