One killed in gliding crash

Police have named two experienced pilots involved in a fatal gliding accident at Omarama near the Southern Alps on Friday.

Ichiro Murai, 54, of Japan died and 68-year-old Lemuel Tanner, of Oamaru, is in a serious but stable condition in Dunedin Hospital.
