Police have raided two residential properties in Christchurch.
Canterbury police searched two properties in New Brighton and St Martins at around 10.45am today.
Armed Offenders Squad (AOS) were also involved as police expected to find firearms.
"A number of items were seized from both properties during the search," said Acting Detective Sergeant Damon Wells.
Police would not say what the items were due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.
