Emergency services helped evacuate passengers from a train which jumped the tracks at Wellington railway station, this morning.
Wellington police team leader Gary McLean said the train jumped the tracks about 11am.
Passengers were being checked for injuries as they were escorted from the train, he said.
The derailment happened at platform nine and there had been no reports of any injuries at this stage, he said.
