Optometrist Visique has appointed Michelle Lawson as general manager. She has been general manager PharmacyBrands for the Unichem Group and more recently commercial director at media agency Carat New Zealand.

Professor Roy Crawford, vice-chancellor of the University of Waikato, has been appointed to the board of directors of Innovation Waikato - the holding company for the Waikato Innovation Park.

Commercial law firm Phillips Fox has appointed Veronica Lobo a senior associate in its Auckland office.

FCm Travel Solutions, the corporate travel division of Flight Centre, has appointed Jayne Thornley as Auckland regional manager. She was business leader of Flight Centre's inhouse ticketing division, the Ticket Centre.

Fiji Visitors Bureau has appointed Anare Senibula as its New Zealand regional marketing officer based in Auckland. Senibula has been working for the bureau in Nadi for almost five years.

Marketing and management consultants VantagePoint has appointed Tony Mitchell as general manager. Mitchell's most recent role was executive director at ACNielsen NZ. Before that he worked for Heinz Watties and Nestle in sales and marketing.

Chemical company Lanxess has appointed Katrina Bunge as sales and marketing manager. She previously worked as a technical sales rep at Bayer New Zealand. Lanxess split from parent company Bayer AG earlier this year.
