Lindsay McKenzie has been appointed national president of YMCA New Zealand, replacing retiring president Peter Waterhouse. Mr McKenzie, who is general manager of Invercargill-based Environment Southland, has been associated with the YMCA for more than 40 years.

Ross Ingram has been appointed as Nestle food-services manager for New Zealand. He has been with Nestle in Australia for 23 years and has a genuine passion for food.

Jim Quinn has been appointed chief executive officer of Express Couriers, a 50/50 joint venture partnership between New Zealand Post and DHL. Before taking up his role, he was group manager of Express & Logistics Group for New Zealand Post.

Simon Cook has joined recruitment firm Westaff as a permanent recruitment specialist. He has transferred from the company's Australian operations where he specialised in clerical and industrial permanent placements.

Greg Sneath has been appointed technical manager at fertiliser industry body, Fert Research.

Donna Gauci has been appointed sales and marketing manager for Subritzky SeaLink based in the company's Auckland head office. Gauci was most recently general manager sales for Great Southern Railway.

The Langham Hotel, Auckland has appointed Scott Thomson as its new hotel manager.
